The very first christmas card was printed in 1843 at the request of Sir Henry Cole, he was responsible for the whole idea of sending Christmas cards through the post instead of using Christmas letters. The movement to send holiday greeting cards soon caught on tremendously in the nineteenth century and by the middle of the Victorian era, the greeting cards were seen in different size, shape and colors.
